Often i heard people said that "the cup is half filled vs half empty".
I know that the emphasis is on Potential vs Problem. But i thought about it recently and i felt the question should be "Why is the cup there?" The issue of PURPOSE. We need to ask what is God's purpose in our lives before we could effectively view the potential within us. We exist NOT to fulfil our potential. We exist to worship God with our potential.

The PURPOSE of an object defines its functions. The POTENTIAL of the object defines the possible ways of achieving its functions.
Indeed worshipping God is not just a PURPOSE to us but also a POTENTIAL for us to fulfill.
Perhaps the greatest joy of God is for us to know this PURPOSE and exploring this POTENTIAL.
